Dec 10, 2019
Case example
The uninterruptible power sources (UPS) used in our systems may emit smoke.
Cause
It has been reported by the battery manufacturer that the batteries built into uninterruptible power sources may cause internal short-circuit or battery case breakage, resulting in smoke generation, if they are used beyond their service life.
Countermeasures
Please replace the batteries within the replacement cycle specified in the UPS operation manual. And please note that the replacement cycle varies depending on the usage environment temperature.
